I remember saying 
to a friend
in high school
nothing is true
which troubled me
isn’t that a truth?
he asked in response
making it even worse

for while 
it seems in the realm of possibility
that nothing is true
language can’t be made to say it
to be a speaker at all
you are committed to the existence
of at least one truth
it doesn’t seem fair
that language should so encumber the world
